Altar Servers

Altar servers help facilitate our celebration of the liturgy by assisting the priests and deacons in various ways during the Mass. Altar servers are needed at Sunday and weekday Mass as well as at various other parish liturgies, including weddings and funerals.

Youth - Boys and girls who have received First Communion, are in the fourth grade or higher, and are enrolled in Faith Formation through SJV school or Faith Formation on Wednesday evenings are invited to serve at the altar during Sunday’s liturgy and other liturgical services. New servers are trained in the fall and in the spring.

Adults - Men and women who are active, participating member of SJV and in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church are invited to serve at the 8:30 AM Daily Masses and Funerals.
